Conservatorium Hotel, 2011, Amsterdam

The Conservatorium Hotel, in the Museum Square district in Amsterdam, enjoys a second life thanks to a cleaver restructuring project signed by Piero Lissoni and Studio Lissoni Associati. At the end of the 19th century, the building hosted the Sweelinck Academy of Music. An architectural masterpiece that combines a landmark heritage building with graceful, contemporary design, the Conservatorium comprises 129 rooms laid out over 8 floors, boasting high ceilings with wooden beams and large windows. This prestigious building, transformed into a luxury hotel by the Milanese architect, evolves towards a clean design, a blend of modern and chic, Flemish and Italian culture, in which Living Divani iconic products fit in perfectly with the rest of the furniture in the communal areas, endowing the space with a feeling of familiarity.
