SaloneSatellite Permanent Collection
On Thursday November 8th the new headquarters of the Polo formativo del legno-arredo ITS Rosario Messina is inaugurated. This area of 2,900 square meters in Lentate sul Seveso is the result of the synergy between the world of education and business, and can accommodate up to a maximum of 300 students, offering a complete course of study.
Inside, an area is dedicated to the "Permanent Collection of SaloneSatellite". Strongly desired by Marva Griffin, founder and curator of the event, this collection represents a gathering of products presented during the twenty-one editions of SaloneSatellite and of the Collezione Salone Satellite 20 Years and is aimed to create a path able to make the visitor understand the new artistic and methodological evolution which characterizes contemporary design.
Living Divani is among the names of the Companies involved in this initiative with the Daydream daybed, designed by Mist-o, and the Imago coffee table by Mikael Pedersen. A contemporary reinterpretations of the well –known Hammock chair, design by Hans J.Wegner, Daydream consists of a structural part weaved with an hypoallergenic, recyclable, eco-friendly tubular (ready made by studio UNpizzo) which vary its intensity by ensuring the stability of the products; it is accompanied by two elegant seat cushions: a casual chic daybed that does not renounce to the details of style and comfort. Instead, discovered at Salone Satellite, the coffee table/stool Imago stands out for its fun play of opposites: the horizontal form of the contoured table-top contrasting with the pleasant incline of the tapered legs, and the material aspect of the wood with the smooth, soft surface of the seat which takes shape and becomes three-dimensional.
