Marco Carini
Milano
Marco Carini, born in 1968, graduated as an interior designer at the Interior and Architecture Institute in Cremona and then continued with a self-taught path.
He is inspired by the motto “I don't want to be interesting, I want to be good” by Mies van der Rohe. His work is a way to transform the flow of life , sometimes prosaic, into poetry. His passion for light and its forms leads him to seek, in his design projects, a dialogue between grace and balance, without neglecting an ironic touch.
In his design you can read the daily desire to find the right recipe, mixing natural materials and proposing new and sustainable solutions. Each intervention is tailored and created to satisfy a specific need and rework the spaces in a harmonious way.
His architectural and interior design interventions are present in Italy and abroad (France, Spain, Belgium, India, UK). He was project manager of the Porro showroom; he collaborated with the company Davide Groppi as a designer and consultant for lighting projects and with Studio Bestetti Associati as a consultant for architectural projects.
Thanks to the skills that his studio, founded in 2016, is able to carry out, he collaborates or follows as artistic direction several companies: Listone Giordano, RBM More, HD surface, Tecnocanapa Senini.
Over the years he has designed design elements for Salvatori, Listone Giordano, Nodus Rug, Granorte and Agape, reaching the nomination for the Compasso d’Oro in 2023 with the Rendez-Vous bench.
In 2021 he won the Best Archilovers award with the House F project, a house designed in the middle of a forest in Franciacorta, made with natural and eco-sustainable materials.
In 2023 he won the special More award announced by INARCH for the Attico L project, thanks to the attention to the quality of life expressed by his architecture, mixing climate comfort systems with natural materials.
